Seattle now ranks as the most competitive housing market in the nation, with 71% of homes selling in under two weeks. The average home in the Seattle area sells after just 10 days on the market. Working with an experienced Realtor matters more than ever.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the real estate market is booming across the country. The most competitive housing markets in the country, after Seattle, are:
- Omaha, Neb. (67% of homes sell under two weeks)
- Lexington, Ky. (67%)
- Denver, Colo. (65%)
- Indianapolis, Ind. (65%).
Another way the pandemic has changed homebuyers’ priorities:
- In May, buyers’ top priorities were price, location, and neighborhood.
- Today, they’re location, price, and size of the home.
The study that produced these findings came from Lombardo Homes.
