With nearly half of Seattle-area adults working from home during the pandemic, it’s no surprise that we’ve got home offices on the brain. Buyers do, too. A comfortable home office has become the new priority for local homebuyers.
We’ve helped a few sellers revamp their existing offices and guest bedrooms to make their listing more enticing. Sometimes it’s simple—a new coat of paint, a new light fixture, some strategic staging so potential buyers can easily visualize themselves working in the space. Other times, it’s more extensive. You can add a wall or two, install a window, add on to the side of your house, or even create a standalone Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit.
Even if you aren’t planning on selling, feel free to ask us about creating a home office! We’re happy to share ideas. And after more than thirty years in the business, we’ve built an extensive referral network of reliable builders and contractors. We can put you in touch with good people who will get the job done well (and on time).
All that said, here are our favorite home offices we’ve found. Let us know which one’s most in line with your own tastes—or even better, send us a picture of your own setup!
