Mary’s Place has a new fall fundraising event: Brunch for Beds! This inspirational experience will take place in Benaroya Hall, where The Seattle Symphony Lullaby Project will perform during a light brunch. I’m hosting three tables at Brunch for Beds, and I’d like to invite you as my guest. If you’d like to attend, just send me an email, and I’ll reserve a place for you!
When: October 1st, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
Where: Benaroya Hall, 200 University Street, Seattle
The Lullaby Project is a wonderful creation: The project gives mothers in distressed situations a unique opportunity to write a personal lullaby for their babies and children—empowering these mothers both as artists and as individuals. Members of The Seattle Symphony help turn these songs into beautiful pieces of art, and then Mary’s Place participants, Seattle Symphony teaching artists, and musicians perform them. Some of these special songs will be performed at Brunch for Beds.
We’ve supported Mary’s Place for many years, first with donations, and more recently, by founding and leading Agents of Change, a philanthropic group of real estate professionals. Every Agent of Change commits to: regularly donate to Mary’s Place (between $500 and $5,000 annually), volunteer at Mary’s Place’s key fundraisers (Holly Jolly Party, Benefit Luncheons, etc.), and participate in our own fundraising efforts to benefit Mary’s Place’s women, children, and families. Last winter, for instance, we organized a clothing drive that filled a U-Haul with fancy clothes for Mary’s Place’s children!
To attend Brunch for Beds, all you need to do is send me an email. I’ve paid for three tables, and I’d love to fill them with guests both new to Mary’s Place and those already familiar with it. This is an inspiring, beautiful event–come join me and see the life-giving work of Mary’s Place!
